Our Clean Room
Welcome to our clean room where we sterilize and disinfect all of our nail tools and discard the single-used items. Everyone is welcome to take a look through the glass window in our clean room and witness some of the steps we take to keep our clients and salon environment safe from biohazards.
Sterilized Tools
All tools used during your nail service have been disinfected in a high-level disinfectant solution. The disinfectant solution is an FDA registered/hospital grade level. It Meets OSHA Blood-borne Pathogen Standards. Tools are pre-cleaned with soap and water, soaked in disinfecting solutions for the required time, dried, sealed into a sterilization pouch, and placed into a UV sterilizer. They remain sterile inside the pouches until the next service begins.
NO Whirlpool Pedicure Thrones
No matter how thoroughly cleaned, dangerous bacteria can thrive in the plumbing and filters of whirlpool jets. Therefore, we have chosen ceramic pedicure basins that can be thoroughly cleaned between each client and guarantee not to harbor bacteria. At Luna Divina, you can soak your toes worry-free.
Dry Pedicure
It is not traditional, but they are better in every way… trust me! The absence of water during a pedicure removes the risk of waterborne pathogens.This is also ideal for those suffering from diabetes, lupus, or cancer as they can enjoy a pampering pedicure without putting their health at risk. A Dry Pedicure is also great for people who still don't feel safe putting their feet into a pedicure bowl. While the water might be missing, nearly every aspect of a waterless pedicure remains the same as a traditional one. Customers can still expect to enjoy callus removal, cuticle care, nail trims, massage, and nail polish application. Studies have shown that nail polish may stay on longer when your nails aren’t drenched in water.
Why do we use a metal file instead of a plastic foot file?
The Foot file is made with all-around high-quality stainless steel and can be disinfected and sterilized after each customer. Its unique design makes it tough against callus without shredding your skin.
Red plastic files are considered single-use items as they cannot be disinfected or sterilized after each customer.
5 & 7 Free Polishes
All nail products are not created equal. At Luna Divina, we believe that ingredients matter ! This is why we are non-negotiable regarding which polish lines we use. Whether or not you are familiar with what 5 or 7 free means, we know that our clients want less exposure to toxins if given the option. Not only is this a critical component of self-care (after all, taking care of yourself the healthiest way possible is key), but our talented nail technicians also reduce the risk of compromised health by working with less toxic products. We also carry VEGAN and CRUELTY-FREE nail polish, ensuring that our furry friends are always as happy as can be.
Single-used Items thrown away
We hope to make you feel safe here at Luna Divina knowing that after every service the nail tech will be using new items. This prevents cross-contamination between customers. Single used items are meant to be used only once! Single-used items will be discarded immediately after each client.
Ventilation Systems
Here at Luna Divina, we want our team and community to know that their health is in great hands. The salon has been equipped with a high-grade ventilation system that eliminates dust particles, air pathogens, fumes and vapors. Even though the salon does not offer Acrylic nail services, every manicure and pedicure station is connected to the ventilation system to provide cleaner air for both our team members and our customers. The ventilation system is also eco-friendly, by reducing the workload of the A/C units. The ventilation units help remove stale air from the inside of the salon while providing fresh clean air from outside. This cycle helps regulate the inside temperature of the salon, without making the A/C units work harder and consume more energy.
